Sinclair Sign

Sinclair's dino has been a part of the company since 1930.

You might remember Sinclair. I've been driving around Oregon and they still seem to have a lot of them around. Each one I've passed has a dinosaur sculpture in front. Some of them even have had masks on them.

The gas station was founded in 1916 by who else but, Henry Sinclair. Writers at the company created a logo with a brontosaurus character as part of it in 1930. In the early and mid 20th century, giant dinosaurs were installed at both the Chicago and New York World's Fair to attract attention to the brand. The brontosaurus lives on to this day.
